Our Doctor

Kathryn Recker, OD

Languages Spoken: English (native), Spanish (conversational)

Dr. Recker is a licensed optometrist who received her bachelor’s degree in cognitive psychology from the University of California, Irvine. She then worked on a research team at the prestigious Schepens Eye Research Institute, a Harvard affiliate, in a collaborative team of optometrists, vision scientists, biologists, and computer scientists in order to better understand the binocularity of patients with central vision loss in both eyes. She then received her doctorate in optometry from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA.

During her medical training, she had a strong emphasis on community care and multicultural primary care in a multidisciplinary setting. She began practicing in Beverly Hills with an emphasis on specialty contact lenses, including scleral contact lenses to treat irregular corneas, glaucoma, binocular vision, and post-operative surgical care. Dr. Recker then practiced in Northampton, Massachusetts, where she refined her focus on post-concussion patients, stroke patients, traumatic brain injury care, pediatric care, and primary care.

Dr. Recker has a special interest in glaucoma, binocular vision, and post-concussive care, as well as primary care. She is excited to provide comprehensive eye care with a focus on meeting all your needs. Her passion for clear and comfortable vision for her patients is of utmost importance.

Dr. Recker enjoys hiking, music, dancing, and playing with her niece.
